Wingaersheek BeachWingaersheek Beach
This beach is notorious for its kid-friendly waters. The ocean, which is relatively warm for the North Shore, is always still. From its setting on Ipswich Bay, it offers a protected, gently sloping beach with a separate wading area at low tide. Beachcombers can walk almost to the harbor marker at low tide and reach the Annisquam River. View the boats meandering by on this beautiful beach along the Annisquam River and Ipswich Bay. There is a concession, rest rooms and showers. Parking fee is $20 during the week per car; $25, weekends. Parking is limited so plan to arrive early.

How to get to Wingaersheek Beach:
Take Route 128 north to exit 13, turning left off the off-ramp onto Concord Street. Follow Concord Street to Atlantic Street, turning right onto Atlantic Street. Wingaersheek Beach is at the end of Atlantic Street.
