Gloucester Sidewalk Bazaar Gloucester Sidewalk Days - A New Take on an Old Tradition
August 5, 2010 - August 7, 2010
Main Street
Gloucester

More outdoor dining, Seafood Throwdowns, hula-hoop competitions and a renewed focus on local artisans ushers in a new era for a fifty-year-old Gloucester tradition. Hosted by the Gloucester Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Retailers, Gloucester Sidewalk Days replace the old Sidewalk Bazaar on August 5, 6 and 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Highlighting Main Street shops, Gloucester Sidewalk Days expands the outdoor dining, live music, children’s activities and local artist participation that won rave reviews last year.

This year, Sidewalk Days features a Seafood Throwdown where local chefs compete in a judged cooking competition.

Children’s activities include a hula-hoop competition by Toodeloos, creative art activities by Cape Ann Art Haven, inflatable bouncies by Prime Time Party Zone, Cape Ann Vernal Pond with Snakes of New England, face painting and more.

And don’t forget the Roaming Railroad – a fun train for children and parents alike.

If you haven’t seen the new items in Main Street shops lately, Sidewalk Days is the perfect time to get acquainted. With all the new quality and variety of goods, you can get your holiday shopping done in three fun-filled days for the whole family.
